21 riders showed up at the Segula junction. We took the usual way with some new twists towards Nahshonim. At Nahsonim we were held up by a huge heard of sheep and goats.
Uri and some followers tried to "attack" the oncoming heard, but they were outnumbered. So we had a bit of rest before ascending. The uphill ride was much easier as Uri led us to an asphalted road instead of the rocky field road. At the top a wonderful bike route was awaiting for us. It goes around a new neighborhood of Rosh Haayin. According to Rafi it is the best ever singleton ride. Well I agree and enjoyed it so much that without looking for the group rode down on it to the main road. When I was asked by one of the riders "Did you get lost?" I said no, and explained what was Haimke's mother would have said for this kind of situation. As the soldiers were marching she claimed:
כשכל החיילים פונים שמולא חיימקה שלי ממשיך ישר כי רק הוא ידע את הדרך הנכונה
After a few phone calls I rode by myself to Einat where I met up with the group. Of course I was told off and they were right. I should have stayed with the group. Eventually we got back to the parking lot uneventfully. Some of the riders went for refreshment at MAUI others opted for home me among them.If you have any questions or want to get in touch for any reason, feel free to get in touch with David or John:
